Desert Walk

"A Morning Stroll is good for the Soul"

A Morning Stroll is Good for the Soul

Come along with us as we walk the high mountail desert trails of Northen Nevada...
There is an artist in town, a friend of ours, Teddy Swecker , and for the past couple of years, on her morning walk in the desert, she has been stopping, taking her time and using litter that people have left behind to make, little "objects de art" along the way.

She takes nothing into the desert with her, excpet a little paint once in awhile, but uses what others have left behind...litter, trash, rocks and wood.
One of her trails is about a mile long, and this is the walk my friends and I took today. This is what we saw......

one man's trash ....another man's treasure?

Usually, when someone posts on this blog, we only post a photo or two, sometimes three.
This post "Desert Walk" is going to be long, so maybe it would be best done in parts..

Part I (there will be a part II and a part III)
Meeting my friends for a desert walk.

I didn't even see some of those things. I guess you have to go back many times to see it all. Thanks, Debbie for taking pictures.

Great pictures - look like you had a great day for a great walk. Wonderful way to put peoples garbage to great work.

Very interesting. In general I prefer to see trash removed from the desert but there is certainly room in the world for creative uses like this. I know some disagree but I belive man is part of the environment and some areas should reflect that fact while other areas are left in a purely natural state.

Fun walk. A lot of it reminds me of my desert.
