The Bible Tells me so
The Bible tells me so...
Grandchildren are a crown to the aged.
(okay it says Children's children are a crown to the aged. Same thing)

***************************
Ah....let me take a trip down "Memory Lane".
(hahahaahaaa....that's my daughter in law walking down memory lane. Sadie)

Obsessive Backyard Birding

My newest addition to the family - this little guy is my most frequent visitor to my hummingbird feeders. He hovers just in front of me as if to say hello when I sit out there.
Here he is in flight about to settle on the feeder.
And then this guy shows up with a couple of buddies. I was so excited, because he is different than what's been visiting my back yard - one of them very bright yellow. He proceeds to start picking at my bulb lights and then kept landing on the hummingbird feeder.

He acted like he was drinking from it and twice knocked down one of the feeders. I was so mad!

Baby Quail in Jolina's Back Yard
I haven't seen our baby quail in quite some time, but then they appeared in our Pet Cemetery limb pile in the back yard. They are blending in so well, it took me a while to figure out what it was I was looking at!

Here they go with papa and some sparrows over the fence.

Adams Girls Go Camping and Fishing

Our first camping trip with the girls at Pit Taylor Dam, Rye Patch July 4th weekend. We were treated to a beautiful sunset the first night after it rained very lightly.

Nik's first fish - a very small catfish that we threw back in. The mosquitos were biting more than the fish.

Jenna fishing as the sun dips down on the second night, July 4, 2009.

Theme Interrupted
We interrupt this "theme" of my trip for this important message from Jolina! (if you want to see Day 4 continued of my trip, scroll down)
Smiling Faces... Hey, that's a song!! (by the temptations, in case your interested)
Smiling faces, tell leaves..... (that's my pun... because the line goes... smiling faces tell lies )
Love the shot of Jenna looking thru the window.

The Temptations my friends:
Smiling faces sometimes .....
pretend to be your friend
Smiling faces show no traces of the evil that lurks within
Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes....
They don't tell the truth uh
Smiling faces, smiling faces
Tell lies and I got proof
Still...My town, my trip
Still Day 4
After the Swamp Monster scare.... my dad and I went to the new branch library in Kennewick.
YES... I lead an exciting life!!
There are now 2....count 'em....two libraries in the town I grew up in.

Look at their "return" slots. In Winnemucca we have a "mail box" where EVERYTHING goes...except the media. You have to take that inside.

This is how they do the "reserved" books. They just line them up and you go and get your own. In Winnemucca, we call and they are kept in the back room for a few days until you can make it down.
Obviously we don't trust people to pick up their own book requests like this. LOL
